From a noble family. In military service since 1781, officer. He fought in the American War of Independence on the side of the Americans under the command of Roshambo . He supported the French Revolution, participated in many battles, and was wounded. He distinguished himself under Hohenlinden . In 1803 he was promoted to brigadier general. He commanded the infantry brigade of the Bisson division in the campaigns of 1806-1807, actively participated in the battles at Guttstadt and near Friedland . Then he fought in Spain, in the same place in 1811 he became a division general. In 1815, during the Hundred Days , he was faithful to Napoleon and commanded the infantry division at Waterloo . During the advance of the Marconier division, the English general Thomas Picton was killed, but then the attack of the British cavalry threw off the attackers.
After the second return, the Bourbons were dismissed.
