Biography and Proceedings

The son of a university classic teacher. He taught at the University of Lyon , since 1972 - at the University of Paris-North . Author of monographic works about Andre Gide , Michel Leiris , Georges Perek . But his main works are connected with the forms of representation of the “I” ( memoirs , diaries , notes, autobiographies, etc.) in European culture of the 19th — 21st centuries. Lejeune is the initiator of national competitions in autobiographies and diaries, one of the founders of the national Association for the Protection of Autobiography and Autobiographical Heritage (created in the town of Amberieu-en-Bugey between Lyon and Geneva in 1992 ), which currently has a giant manuscript and media archive, publishes its own "Notebooks" and the journal "All the troubles from Rousseau."
