Biography

He started working at the Novosti Press Agency , then became a full-time photographer for the Associated Press agency, where he worked for twenty-three years [1] .

Pulitzer Prize laureate along with Alexander Zemlyanichenko for reporting on the August 1991 putsch and winner of numerous other professional awards. His pictures were published on the covers of Time and Newsweek magazines [2] .
