Lyakhov was appointed assistant to the commander-in-chief and commander of the troops of the Terek-Dagestan Territory.
On April 11, 1919, a decision was made to form the Chechen cavalry division, and Colonel N. F. O'Rem was appointed commander on April 12. In the city of Grozny, a Chechen equestrian regiment was formed. The formation of the division continued in the Holy Cross . On June 12, from the city of Great, the Chechen cavalry division consisting of three regiments (the fourth was under formation) [1] , which was included in the group of troops of General Drazenko, marched on the Astrakhan campaign in Stepnoy . On June 13, 1919, General A.P. Revishin was appointed head of the division.
In the second half of July, the division was transferred to Stavropol , from September 28 to December 20, it took part in the battles with Makhno as part of a group of special forces, from January 1, 1920 - in the defense of the Crimea . Kuchevsky, N.F. O'Rem, A.P. Revishin and others.
