Tourism is one of the most important industries in Cambodia . The recovery of the country's economy after the civil war led to the restoration of the tourism industry and an increase in the flow of foreign tourists. The unique cultural heritage of Cambodia, combined with Buddhist-pagan traditions and a warm climate, attracts tourists from all over the world.

The main attractions of the country are:

  • Angkor - an ancient city in the province of Siem Reap and its temple complexes Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom ;
  • Banteaysrei - a temple complex in the province of Siem Reap, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva;
  • Kahkai - a city and an ancient temple complex in the province of Preahvikhea ;
  • Kratieh - a city, the center of the province of the same name, known for its pagodas Vihea Sorsor Mui Roy and Sambok ;
  • Silver Pagoda in Phnom Penh ;
  • Tonle Sap Lake, located in the provinces of Pousat, Battambang, Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, Kampongchnang;
  • Sihanoukville - a city-province, the main seaport of the country and a developing beach resort;
  • Preahvikhea - a temple complex in the province of the same name , dedicated to the god Shiva;
  • Siem Reap - a city, the center of the province of the same name , a kind of "tourist capital" of Cambodia;
  • Kayep - a city, the center of the province of the same name , in the 1900-1960s was a popular Kep-Sur-Mer resort of the French and Cambodian elite. Known for its seafood cuisine.
