Emancipation

Emancipation (from the English - “Liberation, Emancipation”) is the nineteenth studio album of the American singer Prince , released on November 19, 1996 and for the first time on NPG Records and EMI Records . Previously 18 years old, the musician was released on Warner Bros. Records and the title seem to indicate this release from the enslaving contract (with which he struggled for the past few years) [8] .

This is the musician's first album of three discs lasting 3 hours and on the original musical material (without compilation). The album was Prince’s third release in one calendar year after Chaos and Disorder and the soundtrack for Spike Lee Girl 6 .

Emancipation reached eighteenth place in the UK charts and was at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 American chart [1] , and ultimately received platinum status in Canada and the United States [9] .
