The offspring of Moses Hirsch (c. 1740–1810) was a merchant from Königshofen [1] .
His son, Jacob von Hirsch ( him. Jakob von Hirsch ; 1764-1841) - was the court banker in Munich. For services during the Liberation War of 1813-1815, King Maximilian-Joseph bestowed upon him the nobility, as well as the right to acquire an estate with the addition of his name to his last name, therefore his progeny is called Hirsch-Gereyt [2] . The granted coat of arms is a vowel : it. Hirsch - deer.
His son, Joseph von Hirsch ( him. Josef von Hirsch ; 1805-1885) - the banker, headed the bank founded by his father and, being a generous philanthropist, donated large sums during the cholera of 1854 to alleviate the plight of the poor of Bavaria; many hospitals and other charities are named after him. He built the Bavarian railway Ostbahn [3] . In 1869 he received the title of baron from King Ludwig II [4] .
The son of the latter, Maurice de Hirsch (1831-1896), was a prominent financier, philanthropist, and Jewish public figure. Donated significant sums of money to charities among Jews. Dying childless, he left all his fortune to his wife, Clara (1833–1899), who continued charity work and donated tens of millions to various charitable purposes.
