Mikhail Karlovich Klingenberg (c. 1820 - December 3 ( 15 ), 1873 ) - Russian statesman, privy councilor , Ryazan (1858-1859) and Vyatka (1859-1853) governor.

Biography
Born in the family of the future chief of military schools K.F. Klingenberg .
In 1839 he graduated from the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum with a silver medal, and in 1840, with the rank of titular adviser, he entered the service of the economic department of the Ministry of the Interior; in December 1841 he was appointed senior assistant to the clerk, in April 1845 - the clerk; in December 1847 he was promoted to state councilors, in December 1853 - to full state councilors. In February 1855, he received the title of Chamberlain of the Court.
In February 1858, M.K. Klingenberg was appointed acting Ryazan civil governor , and in December of that year he was approved by the Ryazan governor with the rank of chamberlain. Already on September 8, 1859 he was appointed Vyatka civil governor ; arrived in Vyatka on October 27, 1859. Under him, in 1861, women's schools in Slobodsky, Sarapul and Yelabuga, a district school in Nolinsk, and a Sunday school in Vyatka were opened in Vyatka province.
At the end of 1862, he asked for his dismissal due to “upset health” [1] and on January 4, 1863 his request was granted, and on January 12 he left for St. Petersburg.
In the Ryazan province he owned an estate [2] .
In 1870, already with the rank of Privy Councilor, he was appointed a member of the petition commission at the State Council .
