William Bruce Davis ( born William Bruce Davis , born January 13, 1938 , Toronto , Canada ) is a Canadian actor. Best known for her role as a Smoker on the X-Files series. He starred in 91 films from 1983 to 2007. In recent years, the actor has also become a screenwriter and director.

Biography
He played his first role in the play at 11 years old. He graduated from college, worked for 5 years in the UK as a director in the theater. Then he returned to Canada and taught acting at the Canadian National Theater School. In 1983 he made his debut in the movie - in the movie Dead Zone .
Occasionally starring in film and television, William Bruce Davis continued to work at the Vancouver School of Acting and at the National Theater School of Canada , where he became art director. Currently, Davis is an actor, director and screenwriter.
William Bruce Davis set up his William Davis Center For Actor's Study, where he is the director. From his first marriage, he has two adult children, there are two grandchildren. He lived with Barbara Ellison, who works as a teacher. Since 2011, married to Emmanuel Erpin [1] . The actor who played the Smoker does not smoke and enjoys water skiing.
