Geography
The village is located in the central part of the district, east of the Borovichi - Khvoynaya highway .
History
In the Borovichi district of the Novgorod province in 1911, the village of Moschenik was located on the territory of the Volokskaya (Volotsk) volost , the number of inhabitants then was 107, yards 37, the village was then on the land of the Moshlinsky rural society , then there was a chapel in the village [4] . The population of the village of Moschenik according to the 1926 census is 206 people [5] . Then, from August 1927, the village of Moschenik - the center of the Moschenitsky village council of the newly formed Borovichi district of the newly formed Borovichi district, which was renamed from the North-West to the Leningrad Region [6] . In November 1928, the Moschenitsky Village Council was abolished, and the Moschenik became part of the Bolshe-Lesovsky Village Council [5] [7] . By a decision of the Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR of July 23, 1930, the Borovichi district was abolished, and the district became directly subordinate to the Lenoblispolkom. The population of the village of Moschenik in 1940 was 185 people [5] . By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of July 5, 1944, the Novgorod Region was formed and the Borovichi District became part of it [7] .
By the decision of the Novgorod Oblast Executive Committee No. 359 of June 8, 1954, the Spassky Village Council of the Borovichi District was formed, with its center in the village of Spasskoye , from the abolished Belavinsky, Bolshelesovsky and Bykovsky Village Councils. By the decision of the Novgorod Oblast Executive Committee No. 857 of December 30, 1956, the Bolshelesovsky Village Council was again recreated and the village of Moschenik became part of it. [7] .
During the failed all-Union reform on dividing into rural and industrial areas and party organizations, in accordance with the decisions of the November (1962) plenum of the Central Committee of the CPSU "on the restructuring of the party leadership of the national economy" from December 10, 1962, both the village council and the village entered the large Borovichi rural area , and on February 1, 1963, the administrative Borovichi district was abolished. The plenum of the Central Committee of the CPSU, held on November 16, 1964, reinstated the former principle of party leadership in the national economy, after which, by a decree of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of January 12, 1965, rural areas were reorganized into administrative districts and by decision of the Novgorod Regional Executive Committee of January 12, 1965 and the Bolshelesovsky Village Council and Moschenik village again in Borovichi district. By the decision of the Novgorod Oblast Executive Committee No. 187 of May 5, 1978, the Bolshelesovsky Village Council was renamed Progresky. [7]
After the cessation of the activity of the Progressky Village Council in the early 1990s [8] , the Administration of the Progressky Village Council began to operate, which was abolished on January 1, 2006 on the basis of a resolution of the Administration of the city of Borovichi and Borovichi District on October 18, 2005 and the village of Moschenik, according to the results of the municipal reform was part of the municipality - Progresskoe rural settlement area Borovichi municipal ( local government ), on the administrative and territorial structure has been subject to dministratsii Progresskogo rural settlement area Borovichi [9] .
