The Plomo Mummy ( English Plomo Mummy , as well as the Boy of El Plomo or El Plomo Mummy ) are the well-preserved remains of an Inca child [1] , found on Mount Cerro El Plomo in the Andes near Santiago in 1954. [2] This was the first discovery of a frozen Inca mummy. [3]
The mummy was discovered on February 1, 1954 . Scientists disagree about the sex of the child, whose growth during life was 140-144 cm, and weight a little more than 30 kg. He had a blood type A.
Currently, the find is stored in the Chilean National Museum of Natural History ( English Chilean National Museum of Natural History ), and a copy of it is put on public display.
