History

Plans

According to the General Plan of 1971, the Kalinin-Arbat diameter was planned; at the same time, the Kalinin radius would pass from Reutov in the east through Taganskaya and Novokuznetskaya to the Arbatskaya in the west, where it was to be connected to the Arbat radius of deep laying, and the Alexander Garden would be restored along the connecting branch of the “ Revolution Square ” passenger traffic between the Arbat-Pokrovskaya and Filevskaya lines. The terminal Kievskaya was adjacent to the promising Kiev radius towards Solntsev [2] .

In 1985, a project of four chord lines emerged, one of which, Solntsevsko-Mytishchinskaya, was supposed to go from Novo-Peredelkina to Mytishch along the following highway: Borovskoye Shosse , with a station at the intersection with Sholokhov Street , Solntsevsky Prospekt , with a station at the intersection with Street Shchorsa , Michurinsky Prospekt with the stations "Olympic Village", "Michurinsky Prospekt", "Lomonosovsky Prospekt", then along Universitetskiy Prospekt with the station on Mosfilmovskaya Street , then to Poklonnaya Gora with a transfer " Victory Park ", after which the line should I had to go to the Expocenter on Krasnaya Presnya, through Begovaya and Savyolovskaya to Maryina Roshcha , then to VDNH and along the Yaroslavl highway to Mytishchi .

The collapse of the USSR and the economic situation of the country forced to look for cheaper ways to solve transport problems in the peripheral areas of the capital. On the perspective scheme of 1993, only the section from Solntsev to Victory Park remained from the chord line. In connection with the refusal to build another, the Mitino-Butovo chord, in favor of extending the Arbat-Pokrovskaya line to Strogino and Mitino, the Solntsevskaya line had to use the extreme routes of the combined interchange hub under construction at the Victory Park. Because of this, the line trace writes out two consecutive S-shaped curves. However, the construction of a third deep-seated station with unused extreme paths being built during the crisis was considered unreasonable [3] .

Map of the curve section of the line

In 2002, it was decided to build a line of the so-called “ light metro ” from the South-West station of the Sokolnicheskaya line . Unlike the Butovo line , which is, in fact, a continuation of the Serpukhov-Timiryazev line with shorter stations, the Solntsevskaya light metro line was originally conceived as a distribution circuit. The Nikulinskaya and Vostryakovo stations were excluded from the initial project as presumably having low passenger traffic. In the future, on the way from Solntsev, a transfer to the aforementioned perspective line along Michurinsky Prospekt, shortened to the Olympic Village, was supposed. During the design, the experience (not always positive) of the construction and operation of the Butovo line was taken into account: in contrast to it, in the Solntsevo line project, in order to increase maximum carrying capacity, the length of the station platforms was designed for trains of four Rusich type wagons. In the end, a detailed analysis showed the inappropriateness of creating the Solntsevskaya light metro line, so it was decided to return to the previous plans for the construction of the classic metro from Victory Park.

Beginning in 1985, the western extension of the Kalinin line was planned to be carried out to the north, through the Filyovsky Park and Mnevniki districts. The section with a total length of 13.5 km included 12 stations: Kadashevskaya , Ostozhenka, Plyushchikha, Konyushkovskaya, Trekhgorka , Business Center , Fili, Bolshaya Filyovskaya Street, Filevskaya Poyma ”(according to another version of the feasibility study -“ Shelepikha ”,“ Mnevniki ”),“ People’s Militia ”,“ Picturesque ”,“ Silver Forest ”. From 1993, the line is planned to be brought to Strogino , where it was planned to switch the Strogino - Pyatnitskoye Shosse section of the Arbat-Pokrovskaya line to the Kalinin line, providing a shorter route to the center for residents of the Strogino and Mitino districts. For this, congress chambers were built behind the Strogino station.

In 2006, the Third Interchange Circuit project appeared, the route of which repeated one of the variants of the Kalinin line via Shelepikha , Mnevniki and then went through the Khodynka field to the Dynamo and Savyolovskaya stations , thus replacing the previously planned middle section of the Solntsevo-Mytishchi chord. As a result of this, it is planned to unite the Solntsevo radius with Kalininsky. This conceptual decision was reflected in the new Master Plan for the Development of the City of Moscow in 2010.

Implementation

Dates of the beginning and end of the construction of Solntsevskaya line stations

In 2010, it was decided to begin construction of the western radius, passing from the Victory Park station in the direction of the Solntsevo area, which was planned to be subsequently connected to the Kalinin line [4] .

On January 11, 2012, contractors for the first time began construction on the sites of the Delovoy Center, Victory Park, Lomonosovsky Prospekt and Ramenki stations fenced in December 2011 [5] [6] . In June 2013, it was announced that the Rasskazovka station would be the last on the line.

On January 31, 2014 , the Victory Park - Business Center section was opened, 2.4 km long. Movement on it was carried out along one II path in shuttle mode . The three-car train 81-740.4 / 741.4 Rusich was operated. On the signs and diagrams, the launch site was designated as “Kalinin line” and had the number “8”, and after updating the official scheme in cars it was designated as “Solntsev line” and under the number “8a”. On February 19, 2016, an outboard car passed through the start tunnel of track I from Victory Park to the Business Center, and a test train passed on February 25. On February 27, from the beginning of the subway, passenger traffic was already on track I. Path II was closed and withdrawn from the subway mode for the completion period [7] .

In December 2016, start-up work began on commissioning the site to Ramenok. From December 19 to 28, the shuttle movement was closed for connecting the equipment of the “Victory Park” - “Ramenki” section [8] . On the night of December 25-26, the first train from the Park Pobedy station to the Ramenki station passed the first train, and then the test train. On December 28, when the metro began operating on the first route, the shuttle bus "Business Center" - "Victory Park" began to function again, only now in the form of a seven-car train 81-760 / 761 "Oka" . On December 30, the launch site was shown to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and the leaders of the construction complex. Work at the dead ends of the Ramenki station, the dead end at the Delovoy Center - Pobedy Park line and on track II were completed by mid-January 2017, and on January 22 a test train passed along both routes [9] . From January 25 to January 30, 2017, the shuttle movement was again stopped for work on connecting a new section [10] . On March 16, 2017, in the presence of the Mayor of Moscow, a section was opened for passengers to the station of Ramenki [11] .

2017-2018, seven pairs of trains daily ran from the Ramenki station on the Arbat-Pokrovskaya line to the Partizanskaya station and back through the service connecting branch , due to the lack of a depot on Solntsevskaya line so far.

Starting February 24, 2018, the Delovoy Tsentr station and the stage to Victory Park were temporarily closed for connecting the first section of the Big Ring Line [12] and for the construction period of the woolly congress behind the station to organize the turnover of trains according to the standard scheme.

On February 26, 2018, the Big Ring Line was opened and the joint operation of its section from Petrovsky Park to Shelepiha together with the Solntsevskaya Line began. For this, a double-track connecting branch was built between the Victory Park and Shelepikh stations. In the general section of the train, two lines follow through one. You can distinguish trains from Petrovsky Park to the Business Center / Ramenki by the scoreboard on the head carriage.

On June 21, 2018, the technical launch of the Ramenki – Rasskazovka section was carried out [13] .

On August 25, 2018, a new section before Rassokazovka was connected to the current section of the Solntsevskaya line, for which day the traffic from Shelepiha to Ramenok was closed [14] .

On August 28, a test final train drove along the tracks of the new section, everything is ready for launch on August 30 [15] .

On August 30, 2018, another section of 7 stations was opened, 15 km long.

On December 30, 2018, the Savyolovskaya station was opened on the Big Ring Line , to which the joint movement of Solntsevskaya Line trains was extended.

Perspectives

In 2022, it is planned to extend the line by 5.2 km and two stations [16] :

  • " Pihtino " - underground, in the region of the village of the same name and the Solntsevo-Park microdistrict;
  • " Vnukovo " - ground, near the Vnukovo airport .

The site will be underground except for the bridge over the Likova River and the terminal station "Vnukovo" [17] .

Association with the Kalinin line

In the long term, it was planned, after the opening of the Business Center station, to build the Business Center - Tretyakovskaya section with three stations. Thus, the Solntsevsky and Kalinin radius should have been united in one line [18] . But on March 13, 2019, Sergei Sobyanin, in his interview with TV Center , announced that the association was no longer planned [19] , however, they would return to this issue in 2023 after the closure of the BKL , since the association was laid down in the general plan of Moscow [20] .
