Biography
Born in Kremenchug in 1899. At the end of school, he entered the University of Nizhny Novgorod , but after the second year he left him to begin his career as a pop artist. First appeared on the scene in Kremenchug in 1918, taking on the pseudonym George German . He performed on the stages of Kiev , Kharkov , Odessa , in 1922 he moved to Petrograd . In Petrograd, he began performing under his own name, worked at the Free Theater. In the summer of 1923 he left for Moscow , where he entered the Moscow theater " Hermitage " [1] .
He worked in the genre of feuilleton , parody , burim , couplet. He was known as a brilliant improviser . He toured a lot, performed at manufacturing enterprises. He prepared scripts for performances himself, often performed numbers based on topical topics and local news, for which his work was characterized by "variety journalism" [1] .
George Nemchinsky is called the creator of a new variety form - cinematography, which combined the visual range with live performance. The birth of the genre took place in 1929 on the stage of the Nizhny Novgorod Music Hall. The first cinema satellites were created even before the active use of sound cinema. Performed by Nemchinsky used the game in contrast, accompanying the pathetic text with frivolous video sequences and vice versa. He worked on the film library of cinematography with the director M. Pomerantsev and composer M. Stavitsky. In the visual series he used both “live cinema” and animation [1] .
After the start of World War II, he volunteered for the front. He disappeared at the end of 1941 [2] , allegedly died in battles near Vyazma on November 10 [1] .
