Cambodia was represented by 6 athletes in 4 sports at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . The champion of the Cambodian team, both at the opening ceremony of the Games and at the closing ceremony, was the 2014 Asian Games champion Taekwondo player Sorn Sivmey . At the Games in Rio de Janeiro, Sorn Simway lost in the first round to Dutch Reshmi Ogink . As a result of the competition, the Cambodian team, which took part in its ninth summer Olympic Games, again remained without medals.

Competition Results
Fight
In wrestling competitions, as in the previous three Games, 18 sets of awards will be drawn. 6 for men in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling and 6 for women in freestyle wrestling. The tournament will be held according to the Olympic system with the elimination. Participants who lose in their duels to future finalists of the competition fall into the consolation round. Each match consists of two rounds of 3 minutes, the winner is the athlete with the most technical points. At the end of the bout, depending on the results, athletes are awarded classification points [1] .
The Haitian national team received the only Olympic license in the fight by decision of the tripartite commission [2] .

Taekwondo
Taekwondo competitions are held in the elimination system. To win the tournament, the athlete must win 4 victories. Taekwondo players who lost to future finalists during the competition take part in the consolation tournament for two bronze medals.
The first Olympic license for Cambodia was brought by Taekwondo player Sivmey Sorn, who won the Asian qualification tournament in the heavyweight category for women.
