The American Basketball Association's (ABA) western division consisted of five to six teams, each of which played 78 games in the first two seasons and 84 matches in the last seven regular championships , the composition of which was constantly changing in each of the tournaments. The last ABA season was held in one division due to a decrease in the number of teams participating in the tournament, because shortly before the start of the championship, the Baltimore Close team refused to participate in the tournament, in addition, two more clubs, San Diego Sales, were disbanded during the tournament "And Utah Stars ."
