Distribution

Asia: China , Hunan , river coast, 400 m [1] .

Description

Small short-winged bugs. The body length of adult insects is 5.2 - 6.5 mm. The main color is metallic shiny, light bluish (hence the name, “coeruleus”, lat. Ling.). The pubescence is whitish yellow. The antennae is brown. The body is finely punctured. The length of the temples is approximately equal to half the diameter of the eye, which occupy only part of the side of the head. The eyes are large and bulging. The legs are five-segmented (the formula of the legs is 5-5-5). Hind coxae conical. The species was first described in 2000 by German coleopterologist Volker Putz ( Volker Puthz ; Limnologische Fluss-Station des Max-Planck-Instituts fur Limnologie , Schlitz , Germany ) [1] .
