Biography
Born on December 20, 1907 in the village of Sardarly of the Karyaginsky district of the Elizabethpol province (now a village in the Fizuli region of Azerbaijan / Ijevanatun village of the Gadrut region of the unrecognized NKR).
He graduated from the Shusha Pedagogical College (1929) and the History Department of the Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute (1935).
Since 1935 - a history teacher in high school. Since 1942 - Deputy Director of the Khindrystan MTS, since 1943 - First Secretary of Zhdanovsky, since 1948 - Agdamsky, since 1951 - Cuban District Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan, later head of the agricultural department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Republic. In 1947, he ensured that his work exceeded the average for the planned cotton picking area by 74.2 percent.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 10, 1948 , for receiving high cotton yields in 1947, Orudzhev Mamed Behbud oglu was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal " Hammer and Sickle ."
He actively participated in the public life of Azerbaijan. In 1951-1960, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan. Member of the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijan SSR of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th convocations.
He died on September 18, 1961 in the city of Baku.
