History

It was first mentioned in the Scribe Book of the Vodskaya Pyatina of 1500 as the village of Bor in Soletsky on Volkhov graveyard of the Novgorod district [2] .

The village of Bor , consisting of 24 peasant households , is indicated on the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1834 [3] .

BOR - the village belongs to Colonel Khvostova, the number of inhabitants according to the revision: 87 m. p. [4] (1838)

As the village of Bor from 24 yards, it is indicated on a special map of the western part of Russia by F. F. Schubert in 1844 [5] .

BOR - the village of Madame Khvostova on a country road, the number of yards - 26, the number of souls - 66 m. [6] (1856)


BOR - a treasury village on the rivers Olomna and Volkhov, the number of yards - 39, the number of inhabitants: 93 m., 115 w. P.; Orthodox chapel [7] . (1862 year)

In the XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Solets volost of the 5th zemsky district of the 1st camp of the Novoladozh district of the St. Petersburg province.

According to the "Memorial Book of the St. Petersburg Province" for 1905, the village of Bor formed the Bor rural community [8] .

From 1917 to 1923, the village of Bor was part of the Borovsky village council of the Solets volost of Novoladozh district.

Since 1923, as part of the Glazhevsky volost of the Volkhov district .

Since 1924, as part of the Andreevsky Village Council.

Since 1927, as part of the Andreevsky district .

Since 1931, as part of the Kirishi district [9] .

According to 1933, the village of Bor was part of the Andreevsky village council of the Kirishi district [10] .

In 1939, the population of the village of Bor was 330 people.

Since 1963, as part of the Volkhov district.

Since 1965, again as part of the Kirishi district. In 1965, the population of the village of Bor was 165 people [9] .

According to data from 1966 and 1973, the village of Bor was also part of the Andreevsky Village Council [11] [12] .

According to 1990, the village of Bor was part of the Glazhevsky village council [13] .

In 1997, 125 people lived in the village of Bor of the Glazhevsky volost, in 2002 - 106 (Russians - 84%) [14] [15] .

In 2007, 101 people lived in the village of Bor Glazhevsky SP , in 2010 - 75 [16] [17] .

Geography

The village is located in the western part of the district on the highway 41А-006 ( Zuevo - Novaya Ladoga ).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 18 km [16] .

The distance to the nearest railway station Andreevo is 3 km [11] .

The village is located on the left bank of the Olomna River.
