Brachymeria hime (lat.) Is a species of small chalcinoid riders of the genus Brachymeria from the family Chalcididae . Southeast Asia : Vietnam , India , China , Nepal , Taiwan , Philippines , Japan [1] .

Hymenoptera chalcides of medium size, length 3.5 - 5.8 mm. Preorbital ocular ridges well developed. The main color is black (legs with yellowish marks; the hind femora are mostly black). External ventral margin of hind femur with several teeth. Antennae 13-segmented. The legs are 5-segmented. The chest is convex. Hind femur thickened and swollen. Parasitizes on the pupae of various butterflies ( Lepidoptera ), including Grapholitha molesta Busck ( Tortricidae ); Eutectona machaeralis ( Pyralidae ), Nephoteryx eugraphella Ragonot ( Phyticidae ). The species was first described in 1960, and its valid status was confirmed in 2016 by Indian entomologist Academician Tekke Kuruppate Narendran ( Narendran TC ; Zoological Survey Of India, Calcutta , India ) and Dutch hymenopterologist K. van Achtenberg ( Cornelis van Achterberg ; Naturalis, Leiden , Netherlands ) based on materials from Vietnam [1] [2] [3] .
