Content
AppearanceBody length 32–37 cm; weight 250–280 g. The main color of the plumage is gray, each feather borders an ashy color, the head and tuft are bright orange. The lower abdomen and lower tail feathers are bordered with orange-yellow. The wings and tail are gray. The beak is light. The female has a gray head and tuft.
DistributionIt lives in southeastern Australia and on nearby islands.
LifestyleIt inhabits mountain eucalyptus forests up to 2000 m above sea level.
