“Godzilla: Revival” ( Jap. シ ン ・ ゴ ジ ラ Sin Godzira , “The True Godzilla”) is a Japanese science fiction film ( kaiju-eyg ) with the participation of a huge lizard of Godzilla . This is the 30th film in the Godzilla franchise, the 29th film on Godzilla produced by Toho , the first Japanese film on Godzilla since the release of the film “ Godzilla: The Final Wars ” in 2004 and the first restart of the movie series, which ignores the first film of 1954. The film was co-directed by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi. The film premiered on July 29, 2016.

In December 2014, Toho announced plans to create a new film about Godzilla, aimed at coming out in 2016, saying: “This is a very good timing after Godzilla 3D” was successful. If not now, then when?
