Maryinsky is located in the north of the district, 46 km from the district center [6] , on the right bank of the Rechitsa River, the height of the village center above sea level is 154 m [7] .

Since the 16th century, a wooden church of the Intercession existed in the village, the last building of which was built in 1781 (after the construction of the stone one it was used as a winter one, it was demolished in the middle of the 20th century) [8] . The stone Pokrovskaya church was built in 1859-1905, the main building - a brick four-pillar five-domed church in the pseudo-Russian style, was completed in 1890. It was closed in 1934, has been operating again since 1997 [9] , a monument of architecture of federal significance [10] .
