Biography
Born in Genoa in 1624 . After coming of age, he received his first public office, worked for some time at the Bank of San Giorgio. During the outbreak of the plague in Genoa in 1656-1657, he worked with other local nobles to assist the population and maintain a management system. He was later sent by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Spain, where he negotiated a settlement of territorial disputes over the Marquis of Finale in western Liguria.
He was elected doge on July 29, 1679 , the 125th in the history of Genoa, becoming simultaneously the king of Corsica. His rule passed peacefully and calmly. The only thing worth mentioning is the settlement of the delicate diplomatic issue related to the growing tension between Genoa and King Louis XIV of France after the French bombardment of the Ligurian coast in 1679 . The issue was not resolved, and the conflict culminated in 1684 , when the French fleet bombarded Genoa. His mandate ended on July 29, 1681 , after which he continued to serve the Republic in various posts.
He died in Genoa in 1692 , the place of his burial is unknown.
