Vasily Fedorovich Mazov (March 3, 1918, Bolshaya Vislovka, Penza province [1] - 2003, Dnepropetrovsk ) - production organizer, director of the Dnepropetrovsk Metallurgical Plant named after the Petrovsky Ministry of Ferrous Metallurgy of the Ukrainian SSR. Laureate of the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR (1972). Hero of Socialist Labor (1977). Member of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR of the 9th convocation.

Biography
He was born on March 3, 1918 into a peasant family in the village of Bolshaya Wislovka [1] . He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel .
Since 1941 - a steelworker's assistant, steelworker, foreman, workshop dispatcher, shift supervisor, deputy chief of the open-hearth shop of the Kuznetsk Metallurgical Plant of the Kemerovo Region of the RSFSR.
In 1946 he joined the CPSU (b).
Since 1950 - deputy chief, head of the open-hearth shop of the Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant in the Zaporizhzhya region.
From 1957 to 1967 - chief specialist, deputy chief, head of the planning department of the metallurgical industry of the State Planning Commission of the Ukrainian SSR.
From 1967 to 1981 - Director of the Dnepropetrovsk Metallurgical Plant named after Grigory Ivanovich Petrovsky.
In 1977 he was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor "for outstanding success in fulfilling the socialist obligations assumed for 1976 to increase output and improve product quality, and increase labor productivity."
After retiring, he lived in Dnepropetrovsk, where he died in 2003; buried there .
