Biography
Alex Klokov (one of the nicknames - Romanov [1] [2] ) was born on August 2, 1965 in the village of Beloomut Moscow Region in the family of the designer. In 1982, he graduated from Belomutsk Secondary School No. 1 and was enrolled in the Ryazan Airborne Command School, and until 1984 he served in the army. [3]
In 1985 Klokov met with artist- avant-garde artist Anatoly Zverev , who before his death (in 1986) was his mentor. In 1986, Aleksey Vyacheslavovich entered the Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial College named after V. I. Mukhina, which he graduated in 1991 with a degree in restoration art . From 1991 to 1994 he was an intern in the workshops of the Hermitage and the Tretyakov Gallery , and from 1994 to 1998 engaged in the restoration of ancient art. [4] [5] [6]
Since 2005, he has been developing his own method of visualizing desires ILG-ART (Image, Line, Gold), combining art, psychology of success, art and chromotherapy techniques. [7] [8]
Since 2009 is a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia. [9]
Creativity
The artist's exhibition activities began in 1998 in Russia, Japan, Austria, the UK and the USA. Alexei Klokov writes his paintings with a palette knife , using premium art materials, and uses gold leaf and high-grade gold , antique objects, and coins .
Characteristic features of the artist are open color, pasty smear and volumetric texture. Art critic Stanislav Aydinyan calls him "an expressive, intense and prolific colorist artist." [10] The work of Alexei Klokov, according to art historian Alexander Evangeli, is associated with illustrating Jungian ideas, it "balances between abstraction and figurativeness." [11] According to art critic Mikhail Andreev, his style is “dialectics in color”. [12] [13] [14] [15]
The most expensive work of Alexei Klokov is the installation of an antique bottle of Madera wine from the beginning of the 20th century with a gold label on a 585 gold rolled sheet mounted on a stretcher from the bottoms of 19th century wine barrels. The total weight of gold is 1546 grams. [16]
Another hobby of the artist is a technique that he himself calls "random." According to him, paints that are not similar in structure, involuntarily mixing, react, “boil”, and knowing the moments of interaction and the laws of opposition of base solvents, this process can be controlled. [17]
