Biography
Doctor of theology since 1669, bishop of Vilnius, Smolensk, secretary of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania from 1671, clerk of the great Lithuanian. He fought against the magnate clan Sapeg during the "home" war of 1696-1702. . Among other judges, he signed the death sentence to Kazimir Lyschinsky .
Consecrated on March 16, 1710, the Jesuit Church in the name of Jesus, Mary and St. Barbara in Minsk . On January 1, 1715, he issued a letter on the duties of the boyars of the village of Dublyan, the dining episcopal estate. He joined the Vilnius Confederation of 1716, directed against King Augustus II. He tried to convince Peter I of the need for a tolerant attitude towards the Uniates.
