The sources of the river are on the slopes of Mount Achishkho . [4] Steeply going down the mountain slopes, the river flows into the Mzymta River near Krasnaya Polyana. On the river near the mouth in the Krasnaya Polyana region, the Malaya Krasnopolskaya HPP was built . In the Beshenka River Valley, there is one of two fresh underground water deposits that supply water to Krasnaya Polyana and the Olympic facilities of the Sochi 2014 Olympics [5]
On the river there are small but beautiful waterfalls, gorges, backwaters. Trout is found in the river. [one]
On the banks of the river are several archaeological sites. On the left bank of the river on the northwestern outskirts of the village of Krasnaya Polyana is a group of dolmens . [6] On the right bank of Beshenka on the outskirts of Krasnaya Polyana are the remains of a medieval fortress. [7]
