Serenus of Antinous ( other Greek Σερῆνος , lat. Serenus ) - late Greek Greek mathematician of the IV century.

Details of his biography are unknown. Two of Serena’s works were preserved: “ On the section of the cylinder ” and “ On the section of the cone ”. One of the goals of Serena was to prove that the sections of the cylinder and cone give the same ellipses [2] . Additional value to the works of Serena is given by the information included in them about his predecessors. It is also known from the mention of Theon of Smyrnsky that Seren wrote an extensive commentary on the work “The Conic Sections ” of Apollonius of Perga , but these comments are lost.
