Biography

Jadwiga Yarmul-Mrochek was born in Schebzeszyn on October 4, 1948. After graduating from the National Theater School named after Alexander Zelverovich in Warsaw in 1972, she joined the troupe . In 1976, she joined the troupe of the Stefan Zheromsky Theater in Kielce , and in the same year she moved to the theater in Lublin, where she served until 1998.

She played very different characteristic roles. Among her artistic achievements were dozens of roles, but viewers especially appreciated the actress's play in comedies. During the Belaya Vezha International Theater Festival, which took place in Brest in 1999, Jadwiga Yarmul-Mrochek received the main award in the nomination for Best Actress for her role in Eugene Ionesco's play Old Chairs. In 2006, readers of the , during the Ljubljana of the Year vote, named her among dozens of finalists. In the same year, she received the Lublin Provincial Culture Award. Jadwiga Yarmul-Mrochek died in Lublin on May 5, 2010 after a long and serious illness. She is buried in a cemetery on Lipova Street in Lublin.
