Biography
The first public performance of Glaser was held on December 30, 1891, in the Broadway Theater , in the play “The Tamer of Lviv”. Later in 1893 she played in Yavotta in the operetta " Ermini " together with Francis Wilson starring [2] . Appeared in two silent films: "Pilgrimage love for America" (1916) and " How Molly is drawn to be good " (1915). The latter has survived to the present day and is available on DVD. In this film, Glaser appears in a cameo of herself, along with other silent film celebrities of the time.
Twice was married and both marriages ended in divorce. In 1907, she married actor Ralph K. Hertz, but they divorced in 1912. Hertz died in 1921. Lulu later married Thomas D. Richards. This marriage also ended in divorce. Often Lulu Grazer is mistakenly attributed to marriage with DeWulf Hopper but in reality it is not. Hopper's fifth and last wife was “Lillian Glaser,” which had nothing to do with Lulu Glaser [3] . It is quite possible that DeWulf and Lulu just played together on the same stage as singers for a while.
Glazer died on September 5, 1958 in Weston, Connecticut [4] [5] .
