The Professional Union of Artists of Russia (PSHR) is an all-Russian professional union, a voluntary association of professional artists and art historians - creative workers . It operates on the basis of the Constitution of the Russian Federation , federal laws “On public associations”, “On non-profit organizations”, “On trade unions, their rights and guarantees of activity”, legislation on creative unions and other legislation of the Russian Federation.

PSHR is one of the founders of the All-Russian Popular Front [1] and an official partner of the culture commission of the United Russia party [2] .

About Organization
In PSHR are more than 5300 artists and other artists.
PSHR operates in 55 regions of Russia and in 9 foreign countries.
Under the All-Union Union of Artists, regional and local primary organizations and representative offices, representative offices in foreign countries, and specialized sections (painters, graphic artists, sculptors, art historians, gallery and museum workers, photo artists, masters of decorative and applied art, architects, journalists, designers), other services, organizations and interest groups, as well as the rating center, which is working on the guide “ Unified Artistic Rating ”.
The chairman of PSHR is an academician of the Russian Academy of Arts S.V. Zagraevsky .
Projects implemented by CAP
- Reference " Unified Artistic Rating " - a rating introduced in 1999 as one of the tools for shaping the art market [3] . It is published as a periodic reference book registered as a mass media [4] . As of 2016, 22 printed issues of the guidebook [5] were published, the total circulation of more than 90,000 copies. An electronic version of the manual is also available [6] ;
- The register of professional artists of the Russian Empire, the USSR, the “Russian abroad”, the Russian Federation and the republics of the former USSR (more than 49,000 artists) ;
- Internet project “The Greatest Artists of the World of the 18th – 21st Centuries” ;
- Exhibition projects [7] ;
- Competition projects [8] ;
- Art newspaper (until 2001).
