Antrocephalus maculipennis (lat.) Is a species of small chalcinoid riders of the genus Antrocephalus from the family Chalcididae . Southeast Asia , (including Vietnam , India , eastern Malaysia - Sarawak ) [1] .

Description
Small hymenoptera chalcides , length 5.6 - 5.5 mm. Coloring is completely black (including legs and antennae). Fore wings with two dark spots. Antennae 11-segmented. Whiskey with a longitudinal groove. The legs are 5-segmented. The chest is convex. Hind femur thickened and swollen. They parasitize on butterfly pupae ( Lepidoptera ), including the wide-winged moth Opisina arenosella Walker ( Oecophoridae ). The species was first described in 1905, and its valid status was confirmed in 2016 by Indian entomologist Academician Tekke Kuruppate Narendran ( Narendran TC ; Zoological Survey Of India, Calcutta , India ) and Dutch hymenopterologist K. van Achtenberg ( Cornelis van Achterberg ; Naturalis, Leiden , Netherlands ) based on materials from Vietnam [1] [2] [3] .
