Chiang Dai Quang ( Vietnamese. Trần Đại Quang ; October 12, 1956 , Quang Thien Commune, Kim Son District, Ninbin Province - September 21, 2018 , Hanoi ) is the 10th President of Vietnam , Ph.D. in Law, professor. Member of the National Assembly of the 13th convocation.

Biography
He graduated from the School of People’s Police of Vietnam (1972), the School of Foreign Languages (1975), the Institute of Public Security (1986), the University of Hanoi of Law (1994) and the State Political Academy named after Ho Chi Minh (1997). Doctor of Law, Professor (2009).
From October 1975 to June 1987, an employee of the 1st Department of Political Defense, as well as Deputy Head of the II Department of Political Defense for Human Resources under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Vietnam.
From June 1987 to June 1990, he was the head of the personnel department and the head of the civil service department of the II Department of Political Defense under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
June 1990 to September 1996 - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
September 1996 to October 2000: Head of the Department of Homeland Security, Ministry of Public Security; Member of the CPV General Security Department; member of the General Security Department of the CPV Standing Committee and secretary of the party committee security headquarters in the department of the Ministry of Public Security.
From October 2000 to April 2006, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Head of the General Security Directorate, Ministry of Public Security; promoted to major general (2003); and awarded the title of Associate Professor (2003).
In 2006-2011 - Deputy Minister, from 2011 to 2016. - Minister of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. General of the People’s Militia (2012).
He was a member of the Central People’s Committee for Public Security, secretary of the Central Party Committee for Public Security, a member of the Standing Central Party Committee for Public Security, a member of the Council of National Defense and Security. He was also deputy head of the central steering committee on the fight against corruption, deputy head of the central internal subcommittee of political defense.
In January 2006 he was elected a member of the CPV Central Committee. He was re-elected in 2011 and 2016. In 2011, he became a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee (re-elected in 2016). Since May 2011, he was a deputy of the 13th convocation of the National Assembly (National Assembly, Parliament) of Vietnam.
Since 2016 - President of Vietnam. Chairman of the National Defense and Security Council of Vietnam.
He was fluent in Chinese [1] .
Death
Vietnamese President Chiang Dai Quang died at 10:05 a.m. on September 21 at the age of 61 at a military hospital in Hanoi after a serious illness [2] [3] .
The head of the country's central health department Nguyen Quoc Chieu said Chiang Dai Quang died of a rare disease for which there are no drugs yet.
