Biography
In 1944 he graduated from the Faculty of History of Moscow State University , in 1948 - graduate school.
Candidate of Historical Sciences (1948), Doctor of Historical Sciences (1971).
He taught at the Kabardian , Bukhara and Biysk state pedagogical institutes .
Since 1954 - an employee of the Institute of Ethnography of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR / RAS , since 1967 the head of the group, then the sector of the history of primitive society.
He was buried in Moscow at the Don cemetery [1] .

The author of more than 150 works on general ethnography, ethnography of the Arabian Peninsula and the history of primitive society, including textbooks.
