Biography
Graduate of the Department of Organic Chemistry LTA (1932).
He was sent to the Leningrad Scientific Research Forest Chemical Institute (LenNILHI). Under the leadership of Academician V.E. Tishchenko (1861-1941), the group was developing a method for producing synthetic camphor from natural turpentine and setting up its industrial production at a factory in Kiev.
Since 1940, the director of the Central Scientific-Research Forest Chemical Institute (TsNILHI) ( Khimki ) emerged from LenNILKHI.
In 1947, he presented a dissertation for defense, according to the results of which he was awarded, without passing a candidate's degree, immediately a doctorate in technical sciences.
In 1947-1950, deputy director for scientific work of the LTA named after S. M. Kirov .
In 1950, together with all the leadership of the Academy, he was repressed in the “Leningrad affair” and until 1954 he worked as the head of the department of wood chemical production in Astrakhan.
In 1954 he was rehabilitated, returned to Leningrad and until 1960 he worked as deputy director for academic and scientific work and dean of the Department of Chemical Technology of the All-Union Correspondence Forestry Institute (VZLTI).
In 1960-1973, the first head of the department of processes and apparatuses of chemical technology LTA.
Since May 1973, retired for health reasons.
