Son of Drogon de Beauvais. From his father, he inherited the lord Bov. In 1085 he became Earl of Amiens (probably inherited the county from his grandmother Adele de Boves, wife of Raul IV de Valois ). Then he became the owner of the lord Kushi with the castle of the same name, which gave the name to his family.

He married Adele de Marl, daughter of Leto de Marl, niece of Count Eble I de Rus, and received Marl and Fer as a dowry. In this marriage two children were born:

  • Thomas de Marl
  • Agnes de Coucy.

Angerrand was married by his second marriage to Sybil de Château-Porsyen, the divorced wife of Gottfried I of Namur .

Angerrand de Beauve participated in the First Crusade and the siege of Antioch. According to legend, he lost the standard and, to make a new one, cut into strips his red lined with squirrel fur coat. These colors became the coat of arms of the Kushi clan.

In 1100 he returned to France. He came into conflict with his son - Thomas de Marl, but soon reconciled with him. Together they opposed the citizens of Amiens, who formed a commune and received the support of King Louis Tolstoy .

He died at the end of 1116 or at the beginning of 1117.
