Biography and career
Born in Chihuahua (Mexico) in a family of mixed Mexican-British descent, she later moved to the United States, lived in San Diego, California.
She worked in a video rental store, participated in the activities of the Green Party [2] .
At the age of 19, she responded to a newspaper ad on hiring models for erotic photography, which started her participation in the “adult entertainment” business from the age of 19 [3] . She starred in porn films since 2002. In 2006, she first acted as a director, filming Virgin Territory for Smash Pictures. [4] .
After completing the career of a porn actress, she planned to study as a psychologist or sexologist [3] .
On August 2, 2007, she married in Las Vegas the pornographic director Chico Hwan. [1] [5]
Death
Just a few weeks after the wedding, on August 21, 2007, Hwang delivered Hailey Page at death to Mee Memorial Hospital in California. Despite the emergency assistance provided, she could not restore her breathing and heartbeat, and death was recorded on the same day. The next day, stopped in a stolen car, Chiko Hwan was detained on suspicion of causing death, but was released on August 24 without an official charge [6] [7] .
Adult Video News reported rumors that Paige could die from an overdose of heroin , but Monterrey County Coroner Service said that the deceased did not have characteristic injection marks [1] . Subsequently, the results of toxicological examination showed the absence in the body of most known drugs, with the exception of trace amounts of methadone . Officially, the cause of death remained undetermined, with continued suspicion of methadone, which sometimes leads to death even in a small dose [6] .
About a month later, on September 29, 2007, Hwan was also found dead in a room at the Economy Inn of [7] . According to a Santa Clara County coroner, he committed suicide by intentional overdose of methadone [2] .
