Geography

The village is located on a river called Ashibibak (the left tributary of the Donguz , the Urals basin). The distance to the regional center Sol-Iletsk is 27 km.

History

In 1918, the village was founded as a Mikhailovsky farm by refugee Cossacks from the village of Grigoryevskaya , who suffered from an attack by a detachment of Red Army soldiers.

In 1929, a large grain farm “Mayak” grew up around the farm, giving the village a new name.

In 1943, with the funds collected by the villagers, a tank was made, which received the name "Zernosovkhoz Mayak", for which the village was thanked by the Supreme Commander of the USSR Armed Forces IV Stalin [3] .

In 1966, by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, the village of the central estate of the Mayak state farm was renamed Mayaksky [4] .
