Winter Tournament

From December 9 to December 23, 1893, another strong chess tournament was held in New York. It was organized by the Manhattan Chess Club . The tournament was attended by 9 American chess players and the representative of Romania A. Albin. The victory in the competition was won by G. Pilsbury. This was the first significant success in his career. A. Ettlinger got the flu and could not play the last 2 games.
