Biography
Suleiman Mulukov was born on January 5, 1920 in the village of Pizhmar, Kazan district, Kazan province (now the Baltasinsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan ) [2] . He was educated in his native village and the village of Shoda, graduating with honors from a seven-year school. He worked on a collective farm, then left for Yelabuga , where he underwent vocational training at a library college. He headed the Tunter Library, worked as a school teacher in various villages of the republic [3] , taught at the Elabuga Pedagogical College (currently the Elabuga Institute of Kazan Federal University ) [4] .
In 1940 he was called up for service in the Red Army and found himself on the western border in Ukraine [2] . He fought with the enemy in the tank forces, went missing in August 1941 [1] . Presumably died in September in the battles near Kiev [2] .
He took up creativity in his school years and from the 1930s he published poems and short stories in the local press. He corresponded with Tatar writers; he personally knew Musa Jalil . He wrote poems about nature and love lyrics [3] .
After the war, the works of Suleiman Muliukov were published in poetry collections: “Tatars of Poetry and Anthology” (1956), “Alar Safta” (“They Are in Order”, 1961), and “Iletyurynda” (2000) [3] .
Memory
In honor of Suleiman Mulukov, the main street of his native village of Pizhmar was named. In the Union of Writers of the Republic of Tatarstan, on the memorial plaque, the name of Suleiman Mulukov is on the list of 31 writers and poet of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic who died in the battles of World War II.
