Biography

Born November 26, 1933 in the village. Tsarichanka of the Dnipropetrovsk region in the family of a tractor driver.

He graduated from high school (1951, with a silver medal), one course of the Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute (1951-1952), Dnepropetrovsk State University, Faculty of Physics and Technology (1956).

In 1956-1963 he worked in Sverdlovsk in OKB-9 in positions from engineer to head of the design bureau. Leading developer of the meteorological missile system MP-12 .

In 1963 he was transferred to Obninsk at the Institute of Experimental Meteorology. In 1963-1969 chief designer of the department, head of the laboratory of the branch, head of the department of IEM, deputy director - chief designer of IEM. Participated in the creation of rocket stations for sensing the atmosphere in the Arctic on about. Hayes, in the Kapustin Yar, on the research vessels - missile-carrying vessels "Professor Wiese" and "Professor Zubov".

In 1969-1975 Head - Chief Designer of the Central Design Bureau of Hydrometeorological Instrumentation. In 1972 he defended his thesis on the topic “MR-12 Meteorological Missile System and its Use in Upper Atmosphere Research”.

Since 1975, director of the IEM. Since 1986, the Director General of the Typhoon NGO organized on the basis of the IEM.

He died on November 7, 1990 [1] as a result of a serious, prolonged illness. He was buried at Konchalovsky cemetery .

He was awarded the orders of the October Revolution, the Red Banner of Labor, medals, the badge “Excellent worker of the Hydrometeorological Service of the USSR”, the medal of the National Center for Space Research of France, the VDNH gold medal.
