Architectural Design
On May 27 in Chelyabinsk, the chief architect of Metrogiprotrans Nikolai Shumakov presented a new project of the first metro stations. Working on it, Nikolai Ivanovich was guided by certain principles. He is confident that our metro will become advanced not only in terms of applied technologies, but also in architectural thought. According to the project, the Komsomolskaya Ploshchad station is a single-vaulted structure, that is, no supports or columns are intended indoors, it will be a single space. The ceiling and walls of the station are equipped with special niches, the surface of which glows.
The design of the station is similar to that of the Traktorozavodskaya station. The plastic of the arch differs only in the rhythmic pattern of illuminated and non-illuminated surfaces. Lighted areas are caissons that reflect light. The arch of the station becomes a lamp. For maintenance of light sources on the basement from the side of the track wall is an operational gallery. The base is a cable collector. The main formative factor in creating the architectural space of Chelyabinsk metro stations is the organization of artificial lighting. Projects of stations carry a single fundamental approach to lighting solutions. The architectural and plastic solution of the stations is based on the use of large architectural elements (such as a arch, wall, pylon) as reflectors or light diffusers. In this case, the nominal light sources have an auxiliary value [4] .
Construction
The station has been under construction in an open way since 2006 [5] . The length of the pit is 200 m, the depth is from 16 to 22 [6] . The completion of the excavation is planned for 2009 [7] .
By November 2007, the right distillation tunnel from the electric depot to the station was built. Since November, the station has had a modernization chamber in which TPK Lovat has undergone major repairs and has been converted to work with reinforced concrete tubing ; after the completion of modernization on August 8, 2008, TPK Lovat continued tunneling westward to the Ploschad Revolyutsii station. At the beginning of 2009, it is planned to extend the pit to the street. Rozhdestvensky, in which revolving dead ends and congress chambers for branching in the depot will be built. At the time of construction, it was planned to extend the detour along Lenin Avenue (as of 2011 the detour was built but closed) and transfer tram tracks (moved closer to the buildings on the even side of Lenin Avenue). It was planned that the finishing work at the station would begin no earlier than 2009 [6] .
In 2006, residents of houses located near the station expressed dissatisfaction with its construction [8] .
In 2010, it was decided to build the station according to the amended project proposed by Nikolai Shumakov.
At the end of 2011, the construction of the Komsomolskaya Square station was completed in structures (without decoration), as well as adjacent vestibules [3] . Funds for construction were allocated from the regional budget as part of the program for the construction and reconstruction of roads for the 275th anniversary of Chelyabinsk .

Launch site launch dates
The opening date of the first launch site is unknown, and depends on funding from the state budget, since the regional budget has no financial capabilities [9] . Prior to the resumption of financing of construction from the state budget, which has been canceled since 2009 [10] [11] , the opening appears possible no earlier than 2033-2043 [9] [12] [13] . The initial deadline for the launch site was 2000 [14] , but due to a chronic lack of funding, it was postponed to 2003, 2005, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2015 [14] [15] [16] . By 2019, it is only planned to finish the Torgovy Tsentr station in draft form, while the construction of two other launch site stations ( Ploshchad Revolyutsii and Prospekt Pobedy ) did not begin [17] [18] .
Under the condition of uninterrupted and full financing of construction, the launch site can be built in 5 years [19] [20] [21] .
