Sevruk, Yuri Grigoryevich

After graduating from high school number 8 in Zhitomir in 1991, he worked as a joiner at the Zhitomirderev production association. In 1992 he entered the National Law Academy of Ukraine named after Yaroslav the Wise, which he graduated in 1997. He began his career in the prosecutor’s office as an intern at the Korosten prosecutor’s office in the Zhytomyr region.

• From May 1997 to February 1998 - trainee in the post of senior investigator of the prosecutor’s office Zhytomyr.
• From February 1998 to July 1999 - senior investigator of the Zhytomyr prosecutor’s office.
• From July 1999 to November 2001 - senior investigator of the prosecutor's office of the Zhytomyr region.
• From November 2001 to October 2002 - Deputy Novograd-Volyn interdistrict prosecutor of the Zhytomyr region.
• April 3, 2016 the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin , was dismissed by decree of President Petro Poroshenko , Yuriy Sevruk was appointed to the post of Acting Prosecutor General of Ukraine. He held this position until May 12, 2016 when he was appointed, the new Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko .
• On May 30, 2016, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko asked to write a letter of resignation of the Deputy Prosecutor General Yuriy Sevruk ^[1] .
• On June 3, 2016, the First Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Sevruk resigned ^[2] .
