History
In 1883, professional mechanic August Enders created his own small blacksmith's business using the waters of the local Ramedebach River, which rotates water wheels and drives blacksmith hammers and blacksmith fur. In August 1910, August Anders died. By this time, the number of employees of his company had grown to 350 people. With the participation of August Adami and A. Paulmanna, the company was reorganized into a limited liability partnership , and in 1923 - into a joint-stock company . By the beginning of World War I, the workforce of the company doubled. Having survived the war years, the company continued to work in its niche - it produced elements of interior decoration, bicycle lights and camping goods. During the Second World War, “August Enders AG” also produced military elements, as a result of which it became a target for bombers of the countries of the anti-Hitler coalition . Since 1955, the company has been producing gasoline stoves intended for use in camping conditions, which, in particular, were supplied to the Bundeswehr .
Activities
On September 24, 2004, on the basis of the merger agreement of August 30, 2004, August Enders AG merged with Colsman + Co GmbH , as a result of which the new company received its modern name Enders Colsman AG .
