History
The village of Kropivna is mentioned on a special map of the western part of Russia by F. F. Schubert in 1844 [2] .
At the end of the 19th century, the village administratively belonged to the Vasilkovsky volost of the 1st camp, at the beginning of the 20th century - to the Vasilkovsky volost of the 4th camp of the 3rd zemsky section of the Tikhvin district of the Novgorod province .
KROPIVNO - the village of the Kukuy society, 17 yards, 17 houses, 17 residents: 58 metro stations, 57 railways. P.

According to the map of the Petrograd and Novgorod provinces of 1915, the village was called Krapivna, there were 11 peasant households [4] .
From 1917 to 1918, the village of Krapivno was part of the Vasilkovsky volost of the Tikhvin district of the Novgorod province.
Since 1918, as part of the Cherepovets province .
Since 1927, as part of the Lugsky Village Council of the Budogoshchensky District .
In 1928, the population of the village of Krapivno was 145 people.
Since 1932, as part of the Kirishi district [5] .
According to 1933, the village was called Kropivno and was part of the Lugsky village council of the Kirishi district [6] .
Since 1954, as part of the Kukuy village council.
Since 1963, as part of the Volkhov district.
Since 1965, again as part of the Kirishi district. In 1965, the population of the village of Krapivno was 158 people [5] .
According to data from 1966, 1973 and 1990, the village of Krapivno was also part of the Kukuy village council [7] [8] [9] .
In 1997, 44 people lived in the village of Krapivno, Kukuisky volost, in 2002 - 31 (Russian - 97%) [10] [11] .
In 2007, 25 people lived in the village of Krapivno of the Budogoshch state enterprise , in 2010 - 26 [12] [13] .
Geography
The village is located in the eastern part of the district on the highway 41A-009 ( Lodeynoye Pole - Tikhvin - Chudovo ).
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 23 km [12] .
To the east of the village is the railway line Budogoshch - Tikhvin . The distance to the nearest railway station Budogoshch is 24 km [7] .
The village is located on the right bank of one of the tributaries of the Pozhupinka River.
