Esho ( fr. Eschau ) - a commune in northeastern France in the Grand Est region [1] (formerly Alsace - Champagne - Ardennes - Lorraine ), Lower Rhine department , Strasbourg district , canton Ilkirsh-Graffenstaden [2] . Until March 2015, the commune was administratively part of the abolished canton of Geispolsime ( Strasbourg-Campagne district).

Economy
In 2010, out of 3208 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years old), 2437 were economically active , 771 - inactive (an activity indicator of 76.0%, in 1999 - 74.8%). From 2,437 active able-bodied residents, 2,287 people worked (1,181 men and 1,106 women), 150 were unemployed (70 men and 80 women). Among 771 able-bodied inactive citizens, 262 were pupils or students , 348 were retired , and another 161 were inactive for other reasons [9] [10] .
