Biography
Born on September 27, 1971 in the village of Kopchak. Oleg Fedorovich’s father, Fedor Fedorovich Garizan, worked as the chief economist of the Victory collective farm. Mother - Taisiya Romanovna Garizan was the head teacher of educational work and taught history at Lyceum No. 1.
From 1978-1988 he studied at Kopchak Secondary School No. 1, which he graduated with honors. In the same year he entered the Faculty of History at the Moldavian State University (MSU).
After graduating from Moscow State University, he was assigned to work in the foreign affairs department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova.
In 1993, he attended courses for young diplomats at the Turkish Foreign Ministry in Ankara.
Career
- In 1993-1994 , he worked at the Institute of National Minorities of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova, in the Department of Gagauz Studies.
- In 1997-1999 he taught history at the Kopchak Lyceum. S. I. Baranovsky, engaged in social and political activities.
- In 1999 he won the election of mayor s. Kopchak became the youngest mayor of Gagauzia. He supported and did everything possible to preserve the only surviving collective farm “Victory” p. Kopchak.
- From 1999-2009 , he was elected mayor three times. Kopchak as an independent candidate.
- In 2007 - one of the founders of the International Organization “Congress of Turkic Peoples”. In the same year he was elected vice president of Congress.
- Since 2009—2014, he was elected to the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova three times. He was a member of the parliamentary commission on local public administration.
- From June 2015 to the present - mayor (mayor) s. Kopchak (ATO) Gagauzia.
He is a consistent supporter of independence, integrity, neutrality and Eurasian integration of the Republic of Moldova.
Married. He brings up four children - Ivan, Taisia, Victor and Fedor.
