Work on the album began in 2003. During the work on new material, the group managed to change two guitarists. The group left first Sergey Terentyev , and then Sergey Mavrin . To record the album, guitarist Viktor Smolsky was invited, playing in the Rage band at the same time . The songs "The Prophet" and "Breath of Darkness" appeared in the concert program in a draft version back in 2004, and their lyrics were slightly different from the album version.
The album includes the song of the prophet, who has already left the group of Sergey Mavrin, which is a variation of the song Fallen from his 2004 solo album Forbidden Reality. The “Prophet” uses the melody of “The Fallen” in a noticeably more difficult arrangement, and also develops the theme of loneliness and the relationship of man and God, begun in “The Fallen”. For his single, “The Reverse Side of Reality,” Mavrin later recorded the third part of the song. (" A man or a god, I am a devil or a prophet ... ").
The album did not include the previously released single " Babylon ".
The presentation of the album "Rivers of Time" took place on November 18-19, 2005 in DK Gorbunova .
Translated by Tommy Hansen at the Danish studio “Jailhouse”, the album version went on sale October 15, 2007. Specially for her, Vyacheslav Molchanov rewrote the solos previously recorded by Viktor Smolsky in the songs “The Prophet” and “Not Now.” As a bonus, a video clip “Not Now” was added to the disc, the soundtrack for which was made at Finnvox Studios.
As a bonus on booklet editions, a clip for the song “I'm here” is included.

Album Clips
- “I am here” (with the participation of Victor Smolsky). The clip was shot in the style of a medieval saga, a philosophical parable about the eternal search for the meaning of life and perfect love. Smolsky plays the role of a warrior wounded in battle, who is resurrected by a certain light force. Throughout the video, he wanders, meets amazing creatures, trying to find his love.
- “Not Now” - a clip using fragments of the Kipelov-Rage concert in Luzhniki (2006). The dragon leaves the chase, he is chased and fired by two helicopters. In search of refuge, a serpent flies into Luzhniki for a Kipelov concert. To celebrate, he arranges a pyrotechnic show for the group. Solo in the video is performed by V. Molchanov, who specially rewritten it. Director - Bogdan Drobyazko.
