Geography
It is located 2.5 km from the administrative center of the rural settlement - the village of Paygusovo .
History
The name of the village comes from the name of the ancient Mari ancestor of Salmandai. This is an old Mari village, known back in the 16th century. In 1717, the village had 30 yards, in 1795 - 120 yards. [four]
