Events before the Grand Prix
According to a medical examination on Thursday, Alonso , who had an accident at the previous stage in Australia , was not allowed to participate in the Grand Prix. He was replaced by McLaren backup pilot Stoffel Vandorn [1] .
Free rides
Free rides took place on a dry track. In the first session, the pilots used only Soft and Medium tires, and in the second, SuperSoft was added to this. The first two parts were won by Nico Rosberg [2] , the third - Sebastian Vettel [3] .
